Overview

Sebastian Katz is an award-winning, pan-genre composer and conductor whose music has been prominently featured on television and radio. You may have heard his application of subtle emotional music in an independent film, or felt the thunderous action he brought to the NFL Game of the Week. Or you may have heard his stirring, patriotic fanfare during the CBS special broadcast of the inauguration of President Obama.

Sebastian is also an expert on music technology and virtual instruments. Since 2010, Sebastian has worked with Audiobro to help create groundbreaking sample libraries and virtual instrument technologies.

Education

From an early age Sebastian received intensive instruction in classical composition, orchestration, and conducting. A multi-instrumentalist, Sebastian has studied piano, guitar, trombone, accordion, voice, EWI, and Afro-Cuban percussion.

Sebastian is an alumnus of the internationally renowned Berklee College Of Music, where he was the recipient of the Michael Kamen Scholarship For Outstanding Musicianship. He graduated magna cum laude, and received a Baccalaureate of Music in Film Scoring and Classical Composition.
